Jul 17, 2026: CoCo Desktop: New capabilities

CoCo Desktop added the following capabilities across releases v1.16.0 through v1.19.1:

  • Personalization and Memory: A dedicated Personalization page for custom instructions and built-in tool toggles, plus persistent memory that carries context across conversations. For more information, see Personalization and Memory.
  • Built-in web search and web fetch: The agent can search the web and fetch content from URLs when you enable those tools. For more information, see Personalization.
  • Semantic code search (tgrep): Find the right files in your codebase from a plain-English description, powered by Snowflake Cortex embeddings. For more information, see Semantic code search.
  • Changes panel: A unified diff and changed-files view with a scope selector, along with an end-of-turn summary of the files each turn changed. For more information, see Navigation.
  • Workspace-scoped SQL Playground sheets: Keep multiple .sql worksheets per workspace, with rename and drag-and-drop. For more information, see SQL Playground.
  • Context management: A context-window ring in the composer and a /compact command to summarize a long conversation and free up context. For more information, see Context management.
  • Subagent model options: Subagents can inherit the main chat’s model or run on a lightweight model. For more information, see Agents.
  • Plugins Catalog: Import a plugin from a shared link, publish your own, and keep them in sync. For more information, see Plugins in CoCo Desktop.
  • SSH remote workspaces: Connect to remote SSH hosts and work with them as first-class projects in Agent view.
  • Navigation improvements: Back and Forward buttons in the Agent Manager header (with keyboard shortcuts) that move through your history of conversations, panels, and views; an Open in button for the Editor, Finder, or Terminal; and the ability to clone a Git repository directly from the start page. For more information, see Navigation.
  • Faster, more reliable installs and auto-updates: Smaller downloads and quicker, smoother updates on macOS and Windows.
