May 28, 2026: Planned price reduction for Cortex AI_TRANSCRIBE

Effective June 1, Snowflake is reducing pricing for Cortex AI_TRANSCRIBE by up to 60%, making it more cost-effective to transcribe and analyze audio and video content directly in Snowflake.

With this change, the effective price is targeted to be $0.35 per hour of audio processed for all customers — compared to previous prices of $0.47 per hour for Standard, $0.70 per hour for Enterprise, and $0.94 per hour for Business Critical.

AI_TRANSCRIBE provides SQL-native transcription for audio and video files, helping teams extract spoken information at scale for analytics, search, compliance, and downstream AI workflows without moving data outside of Snowflake.
