How to Execute a Conversion

You can convert your code using one of these two methods:

  1. Run the conversion process after completing the Assessment phase.

When you are ready to examine your Assessment Reports and Output, click the “Continue to conversion” button.

  1. By proceeding directly to code conversion without performing the Assessment phase:

Conversion Setup

The SMA uses the information provided during project creation to execute a conversion. You can modify the following values:

  1. Output Directory Location (Optional):

The Snowpark Migration Accelerator (SMA) creates a new subfolder for each conversion. The subfolder name follows this format: “Conversion-[Timestamp of the conversion]”. This subfolder is created within your specified output path. This ensures that each conversion is stored separately, and previous conversion results are never overwritten.

  1. Access Code:

This field requires an access code to perform a conversion. If you don’t have an access code, click “Inquire about an access code” and submit the form. Our support team will assist you with obtaining one.

Once your setup is complete, click the Start Conversion button. A progress screen will display the current status of your conversion.

After completing this process, you will observe:

  1. Conversion Reports: View the conversion results by clicking the “View Results” button.

  2. Conversion Output Code: Access the converted code by clicking the “View Output” button on the conversion results screen.

  3. Retry Conversion: If you need to convert updated source code, click the “Retry Conversion” button on the conversion results screen to run the conversion process again.
