Security updates¶
Tri-Secret Secure supports private connectivity¶
Snowflake system functions now support privately connecting Tri-Secret Secure with your key management service. You can now create a private endpoint for your customer-managed key (CMK).

Data lake updates¶
Query data compaction jobs for Apache Iceberg™ tables¶
You can use the new ICEBERG_STORAGE_OPTIMIZATION_HISTORY view to query data compaction jobs for Apache Iceberg™ tables within the last year. This view includes a CREDITS_USED column, which you can use to monitor the cost of data compaction. We will start billing for data compaction of data files for Snowflake-managed Iceberg tables on October 20th, 2025.
