DROP BACKUP POLICY¶
Deletes a backup policy.
Syntax¶
DROP BACKUP POLICY <name>
Parameters¶
nameSpecifies the identifier for the backup policy.
If the identifier contains spaces or special characters, the entire string must be enclosed in double quotes. Identifiers enclosed in double quotes are also case-sensitive.

Access control requirements¶
A role used to execute this operation must have the following privileges at a minimum:

The role used to delete a backup policy must have the OWNERSHIP privilege on the policy. |

Usage notes¶
A backup policy can’t be deleted if it is attached to any backup set.
