snowflake.snowpark.functions.max

snowflake.snowpark.functions.max(e: Union[Column, str]) → Column[source] (https://github.com/snowflakedb/snowpark-python/blob/v1.30.0/snowpark-python/src/snowflake/snowpark/functions.py#L1140-L1153)

Returns the maximum value for the records in a group. NULL values are ignored unless all the records are NULL, in which case a NULL value is returned.

Example:

>>> df = session.create_dataframe([1, 3, 10, 1, 3], schema=["x"])
>>> df.select(max("x").as_("x")).collect()
[Row(X=10)]
